Mission Statement:  The mission of the Karns City Area School District, together with the community, is to provide a quality education, in a safe, caring environment, which enables the student to become a lifelong learner and a responsible member of the family and society.

Chicora Elementary is one of three elementary schools in the Karns City Area School District. The current building was renovated in 1997 by adding a new wing and new gymnasium to an existing structure.  

Our enrollment averages 560 students with approximately 40 teachers and support staff.  We have an active PTO with very supportive parents.
